You’re in the Father’s hands now
- He bears your suff’ring with you,
is longing to prepare you
for everlasting bliss and joy.
He knows how short your life is,
so in His loving purpose
He gives you what brings joy in heaven. - Those who in tears are sowing
will one day be rejoicing
before His throne in Zion’s courts.
Hard paths of night and suffering
bring forth God’s greatest blessing
both here and in the life to come. - Those who continue trusting
in darkest night and suffering
will see God’s glory evermore.
Those who endure in darkness
will see the throne’s bright radiance
in that celestial city fair. - Those who endure in patience,
accept God’s will in stillness,
submitting to His chastening hand,
will bear one day His likeness,
His patience and His meekness,
and share with Him the heavenly throne. - So bear all suffering gladly,
which God Himself is offering
to bring true beauty to your soul.
Then you’ll attain your longing
to shine above in glory –
a precious jewel in Jesus’ hand. From My Father, I Trust You by M. Basilea Schlink
