Look up towards the sky. Who created everything you see? The Lord causes the stars to come out at night one by one. He gives each one of them a name. His power and strength are great. So none of the stars is missing.

With this word from Isaiah, we want to greet you in these difficult times.
As we look up towards the stars in the night-sky, we are gripped with a sense of awe. As Mother Basilea once shared with us: “If the all-powerful God, cares so much about the stars and knows each by name how much more will He care for His children made in His image? When the Lord lovingly pronounces our name, streams of love come flowing down over us. Think of a caring mother. All the love in her heart comes out in her voice as she pronounces the name of her child, ‘Darling … Dearest, you are mine, how much I love you!’ That is how much He loves us. Now God, the Father is calling you by your name.
“In love He reaches out for His hurting children, as it says in Psalm 147:3 NKJ, ‘He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.’ Can we imagine what it is like? Immerse your wounds in His healing love. Remember, God loves you.
“The stars do not possess a soul; they are not made in His image. Yet God cares for every single one of them. How much more will He care for you as His child? It is written, ‘For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.’ John 3:16 NKJ, because He longs to have you always with Him. The Father’s love is so deep and wide that it can reach you wherever you are. When you don’t see any way out, when you feel closed in by darkness, He wants to help you and He can help you. It doesn’t matter what your trouble is or what a grip sin has on you, God’s power is greater still. Just think of the stars in the night-sky.
High as the sun and stars above
Are God the Father’s plans of love –
Beyond man’s comprehension.
No human mind could ever conceive
The plans by which the Father leads
His chosen ones, His children.
The Lord is good, is good indeed!
This gives me courage, strengthens me.
In Him I trust completely.
His ways and plans are always right.
And when He leads me through dark night,
His love will light my pathway. MB
